I just installed Mint 8 in Dutch for a 13 year old boy and found out that half of it is in English
WHY ?

Anything that has not been translated falls back to the default English
I have to look into the translations and see if they are lacking
This can also be the result of a bad CD/DVD. Did you check the md5sum and burned slowly?

Translations are an ongoing process and if you have specific suggestions and/or needs, by all means feel free to contribute.

did you go to the language support applet and update the languages?
usually after install, my other languages are not installed properly.

NO good idea! I expect apps to not all be in Dutch but the control center ? That as a surprise !

Well had not dome the mint up date which may have changed some things but I'm not sure where the language support applet is ?

Where would like me to post my discoveries / version details ?????
