I re-installed Mint 21.2 on the Galago Pro, and immediately set up the 6.2 kernel. So far things seem stable, and working well. I have the 6.2 loaded on all my laptops and so far not one issue. Which once more shows if the kernel shows in the Mint update manager I know it is going to work for me.

Generally, unless you have fairly new hardware, newer kernels won't offer significant benefit; however, if your hardware had issues with previous kernels, newer kernels may just do the trick :)

It is working great, and for this one specific laptop, I do need the latest kernel.

Where would a person find a list of kernels and what's been 'slough off' of each as the kernel progresses? I keep seeing people telling others to" try an older kernel which might work.

Shold be in Update Manager under View/Linux Kernels. Not sure if it will show list of kernels not installed but history of updates might show that

I was wondering for Linux kernels in general...not simply kernels Mint uses.

Mainline should show them all, but you would have to still go to update history to show ones no loner installed.https://github.com/bkw777/mainline

my new Bluetooth headphones are very flakey about linking up with my laptop,
I have to keep trying over and over to get audio to be sent thru them....
they show "connected" but no audio path.

while I was trying to force them to connect, the mouse quit moving??

huh, this is not good....
the kybd would not respond either, the full system is locked up solid.
so, BIOS power down.

Hey, while looking for ways to get a new microphone working (elgato Wave 3) I stumbled upon a link that mentioned Pipewire-Pulse (audio) letting it be properly initialized and function. So, I started reading up on Pipewire and found that it might provide better Bluetooth functionality.
Pros
PipeWire contains an enormous range of support for various Bluetooth audio devices that previously didn’t fully work under PulseAudio. If your Bluetooth hardware isn’t working properly with your distro, making the move might help.
Here's a link to the article

After setting up Pipewire, (newest version comes preinstalled on Virginia) using Wireplumber, I rebooted and everything worked great. Except for some odd reason, Chromium was gone. I reinstalled it and rebooted again, no problems. I was fortunate that all my links were still present and all open sessions were still logged in.

Last time I killed Pulseaudio to try and get JACK 2 working, Cinnamon got a bit upset, but this time, no problems.

It's just a thought.
Of course do at your own risk and do a Timeshift backup before committing to any changes. ;)

it seems that when I installed LM21.3 Cinnamon, all of my problems disappeared, the BT headset works just fine now.

Probably because of the things you just mentioned.

I really don't think such a list exists.
