Back to Linux Mint I go.

I was on Xfce before. Now, Cinnamon.

Reason: Moved from Desktop:Cinnamon to Chat about Linux Mint because this is not a request for help with an issue with Linux Mint.

I too started with Mint xfce and am now using Cinnamon. It has been the most rock solid Linux experience I've ever had. Five months without so much as a hiccup.

I've had good results with most Linux distros I've used or I'm using now and any issues or problems I may have had I created thinking I knew what I was doing.

Most Linux distros I've used or are using are rock solid.

Welcome back! I started out with Cinnamon with Mint 17.3. Really nice look and feel and a great start to my Linux adventure.

A couple of nights ago, I copied the OS (Mint 21.3 Xfce) on my Acer D255E from the spinning disk to an SSD. For such a (by today's standards) low-spec machine, it runs great .. and a bit faster & more responsive with the SSD. So: Modern Mint is still good for  us  the old dinosaurs!
