Front mic port not working in dell inspiron 1525

Hi ppl,

i use helena..
i have dell inspiron 1525 lap which has 2headphone ports and 1 mic port on the front..

i'm able to record thru 2 mics located above the lcd screen but im not able to select the front mic port.. plz help.. :oops: :oops:
