msalsdk-dbusclient : Depends: libsdbus-c++0 (>= 0.8.3) but it is not installable

Post by demokedes »

Dear all,
I would like to install Intune portal on my Linux Mint. I am installing it with command: sudo apt install intune-portal
I am getting following error:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install intune-portal
[sudo] password for user:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 msalsdk-dbusclient : Depends: libsdbus-c++0 (>= 0.8.3) but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
Any idea how to install this prerequisites or to find a bypass?
Thank you for your answer in advance,
Rok

Hello demokedes welcome to the Forum.
Please share your system info by going to:
Menu/System Reports/System Information/click "Copy"
and pasting it here.
(You can use the command inxi -Fxxxmprz on the Terminal.)

Can you share links to the software you are installing?
I could not find it in the repositories.
I also could not find it with a web search.

The page you linked has instructions for different Ubuntu versions.
You are using Mint 21.3, which is based on Ubuntu 22.04.
Are you sure you followed the correct instructions for Ubuntu 22.04 there?
The problem is that, you seem to have added both focal (Ubuntu 20.04) and jammy (Ubuntu 22.04) repositories:

Code: Select all

  Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/microsoft-ubuntu-focal-prod.list
    1: deb [arch=amd64 signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/microsoft.gpg] https://packages.microsoft.com/ubuntu/20.04/prod focal main
  Active apt repos in: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/microsoft-ubuntu-jammy-prod.list
    1: deb [arch=amd64 signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/microsoft.gpg] https://packages.microsoft.com/ubuntu/22.04/prod jammy main
You need to remove the Focal version from your Software Sources.
