Ok my screenshot. Edit: Exploder I figured out what the white box was for. Lets say you have rhythmbox open but you clicked the x to close the window, it still is running and the icon shows in the white box. Also now running bling module for composting effects. Runs well.

Very cool, a light look and a dark look. I got rid of the system tray and moved things around on the shelf for a more balanced look. All I need to do is find or make a different background for the gdm and I will have this just the way I want it.

That is one thing I like the GDM is not like the one Ubuntu uses now so you can easily theme it. post a screenshot of your current desktop so I can see how it looks.

Thanks guys! I used the wallpaper image for the background of the gdm theme until I can make something better, it looks alright but I want the logon centered and a background that would transition well with any wallpaper. I will have to get the gdm theme figured out.

Edit: You can change the gdm theme or set gdm to auto logon by typing this in the root terminal.

That command will bring up the gdm settings and you can set it up how you want.

Hey Exploder, you can also go the main menu then settings then settings panel then system and there you will find GDM login setup.

I decided to give this a try, Nice!

I've installed it, but I'm having trouble getting it to boot from LVM.
I'll try some more tomorrow and ask for help in the forums if I still can't figure it out.

I installed Gimp and took the screen shots, it was quick and I wanted Gimp installed anyway.
