Can LXDE's panel's color-scheme be integrated to XFCE's?

Post by mintnoob »

Not LXDE's actual panel, just the cool looking color-scheme of it. XFCE's panel is so boring looking.

[Edited to be more clear.]

LXDE is all modular and components can be installed independently, so it would prob'ly work. But the weather applet, the analog clock, and some of the other way-cool applets for the Xfce4 panel won't work in LXpanel.

Tried it,

My advice would be to go to the 'official' Xfce links.
They could better answer your questions about customizing the Xfce Panel.

Xfce/Wiki pages >> http://wiki.xfce.org/
Xfce Website >> http://www.xfce.org/
Xfce FAQ >> http://wiki.xfce.org/faq
Xfce Forum >> http://forum.xfce.org

I know from personal experience, that the panels color can be changed to practically any color you want, to include a 'true' transparent panel.
And you can add themes to the panel . . . but, you'd have to checkout the Xfce Wiki and Forum.

You might, also, checkout this person's blog about what they did with the Xfce desktop and the Xfce Panel.

To reiterate, I want the color-scheme of LXDE's panel, not the actual panel itself.

I know how to customize the color of Xfce's panel, so I guess I'd need to find the color code of LXDE's panel.
