Hi,
I've installed Mint 8 LXDE, installed the Nvidia graphics driver but all the fonts look pretty terrible - all broken and scratchy.
Does anyone know how to enable sub-pixel hinting and/or anti-aliasing in an LXDE desktop?
I've Googled it but can't find anything useful.
TIA

Re: Fonts look awful
I do not believe there is a conventional way to set up fonts, at least with lxappearance
But I do something different - as the default font is Sans Seriff I installed the Tahoma fonts and get a really nice and sharp fonts (I did it via this)
Then you change the font in the bottom left corner of the Menu>Preferences>Appearance (the program is called lxappearance)
