Hi,

I just did this and it turns out that my video driver isn't working, or at least it doesn't say Yes under "Works?". It's an RS690 [Radeon X1200 Series].

Can anyone help?

Thanks

That chipset works fine with the radeon driver, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RadeonDriver

So I guess I have the right driver installed, but why do I have problems with games like OpenArena and Glest? The mouse works funny. I try to click on something and it jumps to the bottom right hand part of the screen.

I would've thought it was a video driver problem.

They may require a higher version of opengl than the open driver supports. You can install the xorg-edgers repo to get later drivers but can be risky. Sorry don't have url at hand.
