When I booted in I have nothing on my taskbar. I had to manually add "Mintmenu" to the panel (and it is in the wrong place) to add the hardware drivers for wifi after plugging into ethernet. Luckily settings kept from previous install so I can get on here and pose this question. How do I get my taskbar sorted? Also, if I launch Firefox and minimise it, it seems to shoot off to the bottom right, off screen, suggesting my taskbar is running off into the distance perhaps? I've checked the other 3 workspaces and nothing is there.....

MrD wrote:Okay, that problem has gone away. After installation I had tried a reset, but that didn't work. Then when I had added the notification applet I finally saw there were updates to make. I installed 4x updates, then reset, and my taskbar is back to normal. Because I had tried the Hardware drivers option to gain the wifi drivers I needed (Broadcom STA) that doesn't come for my laptop (hence my mention of having to plug into ethernet to do that earlier) I had no option for new Intel drivers. With Mint 7 and 8 I never got additional ones either.
