Mint 9 doesn't find USB drives
Installed Mint 9 and it doesn't find a USB hub with attached external hard drive and flash drive. Mint 8 found 'em fine. Any way to fix this?

Re: Mint 9 doesn't find USB drives
Unfortunately, neither solution suggested in the article works: the terminal command produces an error, and Mint 9 doesn't let me enter the BIOS. This is a critical error, BTW, a huge bug.MrD wrote:http://www.webupd8.org/2010/05/fix-usb- ... rking.html anything related to the fixes many Ubuntu 10.04 users are having to use?
ThinkPad T43, single booting with Linux Mint 9.
LATER: the modprobe command worked after a reboot, but after rebooting again Mint 9 still doesn't see the USB drives. Unplugging/replugging the hub doesn't work, either. ? Don't know if this is relevant, but after running the modprobe command and rebooting, floppy0 still appears in Nautilus.
