Thunderbird is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Thunderbird process, or restart your system.

Thunderbird won't start
installed Mint 9 - nice. However, Thunderbird (default install) won't start. It doesn't show in the system monitor, yet it gives the following message then exits:

One way to
then you should be able to restart Thunderbird
is to open a terminal and enterclose the existing Thunderbird process,
