I'm curious too. Right now my system is working wonderfully! I'm hesitant to rock the boat.

Is there a good reason to do this right now?

i personally wouldnt bother, unless you need the few new driver versions it provides 2.6.22-9 is really unstable in gutsy, im still forced to boot using 2.6.22-8 and 2.6.22 was a poor release according to linus himself.

It worked very well with my hardware. My shutdown time is quicker, boot up is the same. I am real pleased with the 2.6.22-9 kernel.
