Welcome to the mintCast forums (please say "Hi")

Post by rothgar »

Hey Everyone,

The Linux Mint team was kind enough to give us a section in the forums. The purpose of this forums is for Linux Mint users and mintCast listeners to ask us questions about the podcast, submit podcast ideas, and discuss topics we have covered.

You can still email us at mintcast@mintcast.org or you can give us a call at our Google voice number 1-832-514-2278, and leave a comment on http://www.mintcast.org; this is just one more way you can get a hold of us to discuss the podcast or any other feedback you have.

Twitter: @mintCast @Rothgar

If you listen to the podcast we would love to hear from you. Please leave a comment below to say "Hi".

Hi fellows! It's a shame LMC39 is so short but hey ho, if you didn't do it then it would be of zero length

Do you use Audacity for the Podcasts? I'm still with LM8 because I can't get Audacity to work on LM9, until I upgraded the Kernel but then ran into noise problems. :x Although I've had the problem on two different computers it would be consoling to know if others are suffering too.

Keep up the good work.

I've had problems with Audacity in Mint and Ubuntu since Mint 8/Ubuntu 9.10.

I admit, I haven't taken the time to research or troubleshoot the problem. I've been doing the editing in Audacity in Mandriva, which has worked very well.

Y'all should do a podcast on the mint support irc channel #linuxmint-help on irc.spotchat.org . It's quite helpful so long as you're patient (iow, answers might more than 5 - 10 minutes, which some folks seem to think is too long to wait).

Howdy MintCast!

I've been a long time listener of the podcast, and love what you guys do for the Linux community. I can say with all honesty i'm not sure i'd still be using Linux if it wasn't for you guys, and the great developers of Linux Mint. My experiences over the last few releases have been nothing but phenomenal and i'm very glad to have gained this extra knowledge to grow my Linux experience.

Anyway keep up the great work, i'm looking forward to more podcasts! :P

Howdy all!

Just started to listen to mintCast a little while ago, and am sad to learn in #49 that the crew is having to step down. Doesn't seem right. This is something that really should continue.

Running Linux Mint 9 Isadora. Really should upgrade sometime soon, I guess!
