Well done to all concerned with Linux Mint - been using it for a few days, and apart from one or two very minor niggles, it's been a great experience. For me, it strikes exactly the right balance between ease of use, and ability to "get under the hood" if necessary.
Been looking for a distro to dual-boot with XP on my Inspiron 6000 for a while now. Tried to install the last version of Mint from USB, but it did something weird to my MBR so I thought I'd try again with the next version.
Install went very smoothly, stuff just seems to work out of the box, and so much quicker than my XP!
I've even put it on my eeepc701 now (overwriting easypeasy) and it works really well - even the compiz stuff which surprised me on a relatively under-powered machine. Next job is to put it on my partner's laptop on a partition next to her Windows 7. I have a feeling she'll only be venturing back to Windows for her favourite games, now and again.

Hello Alto,
I'm glad Isadora is working so well for you.
Singer, sax player, or just high on life?

Drummer, actually - and yes, I'm doing my best to avoid freak gardening accidents!
