autologin is it possible with fluxbox rc?

I've beaten my may though most of the stuff on the net about this with no luck, can it be done?

I just tried it in a VM and it worked. Here is what I did:

Edit /etc/lxdm/default.conf... and uncomment (delete the # and the space) the lines

autologin=*username*
session=/usr/bin/startmintfluxbox

Rebooted and auto login worked.

Both lines were missing in /etc/lxdm/default.conf.
I added them and it works now.

Where did you add them ? I tried and spent the last 2 hr's getting back to where I started
(If you are having the same problem get out you mint 8 cd it will mount and let you edit
your V9 installed copy)
