Checking Mint Linux CD md5's

Post by Telkwa »

Hi, everyone -
Hey, I like the new Forum front page!!

A coupla days ago there was a discussion about checking the CD md5's in Windows.

http://linuxmint.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=385

I said I'd get back after making a Mint Linux with the method I use for checking.

How the heck do you attach a file at this forum? I've got a small file from MD5Summer I need to attach or this won't be complete!! Since Summer creates a unique extension, .md5, for its list of generated md5's I need to be able to attach that file as is. I can't just paste it in.

Anyway, here are my notes as I created md5's from one Mint CD then compared those to a second Mint CD.

"For this test I had a Bea CD given to me by a friend. I then downloaded the .iso and made another CD. We'll call his CD
