Install hangs at time zone selection

Have you tried to use (select forward) the default that comes up, or is it hung tight there?

edit // try selecting one of the dots on the map for your location. A person of the Ubuntu forum claims the next/forward did show until they selected the location on the map.

have you tried booting in safe graphics mode?

The Ubuntu install (ubiquity) doesn't seem to play nicely with resolutions 800x600 and under. It won't display the necessary buttons on the bottom of the window to continue... so I think this is the point that you're at saying the 'time zone selection' hangs.

The work around is to press Alt-F7 while on that window. This will let you manually drag the window up so you can see the 'next' or proceed buttons below.
