Hiya, hiya peppermints! I'm Jessi, and I'm here because I just switched to this particular distro yesterday. I used Ubuntu for 6 or so months before switching over to Mint KDE. I like Ubuntu a lot, and it's what got me attached to Linux, honestly, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the graphical look of Gnome and the menu set up. So, when I cleared out my computer yesterday (I had to put a Windows install in my laptop for homework assignments) I decided to switch to Mint KDE to change up the pace.
Anyway, I'm 18 years old, I like anime, manga, games, webdesign, linux, coffee, art, mini coopers and the color green. I'm studying to be a software engineer, though I just started this semester. I also own a website dedicated to the "Xeno" video games, if anyone here has played them. Anyway, I hope I'm welcome to chat with you guys and give and receive linux help. ^_^

Welcome Jessi, I'm Tom. Glad you are enjoying Mint. IMO it's the best of the Debian derivatives. It's not only well built but easy to use (and fix when necessary). Have fun with Mint.

Hey, Jessi, good to see you here! (This is Shannon "Waffles"'s husband, Rob.) Joined the forum just a couple of minutes ago and, lo and behold, yours was one of the first posts I saw. Thanks for turning me on to Mint, BTW. Probably wouldn't have given it another try if Shan hadn't mentioned that one of her friends was switching from Ubuntu.
