Linux Kernel Exploit

Post by lexon »

http://news.yahoo.com/s/pcworld/2010092 ... sabackdoor

Seems to affect only 64 bit systems. Might be old news, rehashed.

Good article near the bottom of the page. Probably most here are aware.

Fact or Fiction?

The kernel has been patched, and a fix came out last week for Ubuntu http://www.ubuntu.com/usn/usn-988-1

In Debian, for Squeeze, I found this. http://security-tracker.debian.org/trac ... -2010-3081
squeeze (security) 2.6.30-8squeeze1 vulnerable
squeeze, sid 2.6.32-23 fixed
