Mine is a CamMaestro SXVGA webcam Model EDP 21331 - makers Vivanco say not compatible with Linux.
lsusb shows it as: ID 0c845:628f Microdia
I tried suse@susebox:~> caminfo (quoted from the last screenshot in the above URI) but it is not recognised as a command.
The driver identified there looks very specific for the HP camera - how should I find one for mine please?
Yours hopefully, (& still really a Newbie) -
Theo Tulley.
This is a funny one. If I search for I get about a dozen hits for perfume resellers and nothing else! :)
Looking at the manufacturers site I see that DX 9.1 or higher is needed - don't understand why, but that's Windows alright
If you google for "vivanco webcam Linux" there are some hits in german and if you read german and go through that you might (just might) find something
Code: Select all
EDP 21331 webcam
is the name of the computer that's used, like yours probably is something like "theo@theo-desktop"suse@susebox
