I can't help myself. Mint is the best. Tried PCLOS which was ok actually, but it didn't last long. Went back to Windows for a bit first Windows 7 which I thought was too sluggish for my machine, then back to XP, then back to Windows 7, and full circle back to Linux. It doesn't matter which distro. Linux is better than Windows any day of the week.
I will be in fat city if I can get Civilization 4, and Command and Conquer Decades and Tiberium Wars working with Wine. I don't want to pay for Cedega anymore. That is for starters anyway. The Elder Scrolls IV, Oblivion would also be nice but not that big of a deal.
Also need to figure out how to sync 2 MP3 players that I have. One is a Sandisk 8 gig, the other a Coby also 8 Gig. My cell also has 8 gig. It is a Sony Ericson. I switch off between all 3 of them. If this doesn't work for me in Linux, no big deal I have a laptop that has Vista on it and I won't be switching that over as my family uses it and they don't have any desire to learn Linux.
The other thing that would be really nice for Linux is a realistic golf simulator. Like Links 2003 or even Tiger Woods. If there is one, I haven't seen it.
Oh, and best of all my Creative Xfi Extreme Gamer was found right out of the box. I can't believe it. All those years and I never could get it to work.
So this time I promise to hang around for a while.
I'm back, using KDE this time.
