LMDE Repositories & "apt-add-repository"

Post by Berkah »

Is there a way to add new repositories to LMDE in a similar way as in Linux Mint (Ubuntu-based) with "sudo apt-add-repository"? :?

nano /etc/apt/sources.list
or add it via synaptic.

Maybe it could be possible to port that ubuntu's script ...

apt-add-repository is currently just an Ubuntu idea.

Is it really that hard to open /etc/apt/sources.list with a text editor?

Copy+paste a new repo, comment/uncomment, etc.

You can also use :
Synaptic
software-properties-gtk - manage the repositories that you install software from
software-properties-kde - manage the repositories that you install software from

It is not hard, thats true, but I still find the command much more elegant :)
