The Mint10 Julia is unfortunately deficient for PPT initially, but your PPT problem is solved in the three Mint versions specified above. Your Powerpoint files will be fully rendered (including sound) "right out of the box". The nice thing is that it can be tried via Live CD and if one likes it, installed right then and there.
