Yet another newbie

Thanks for having me.

I've been trying to switch to 100% Linux for several years but there have always been deal-breakers. Thanks to Linux Mint I've finally managed it. I have a lot to learn after 20 years of Windows but I'm on the way.

Mint 10 RC is fabulous: elegant, beautiful, fast, reliable and it just works.

• For the first time ever I've managed to get the accursed Broadcom wireless on my notebook and my netbook working well enough to be used.

• I've been beating my brains out trying to set up Bluetooth and Internet tethering with my iPhone in Windows 7 to no avail, but with Mint 10: no problem!

• Add in Linux compatible goodies like Nevernote, Dropbox, Google Desktop, Autokey, Quanta Plus, FileZilla et al and open source life is good.

Welcome to the forum and to Linux Mint! Glad things are working out for you My girlfriend said the same thing when she switched to Linux on her netbook "wow, bluetooth just works now!"

And yeah, a good life is an open source one
