Hello everyone
I tried to install mint 10 on a USB key: it was a disaster!
I have an acer revo with a hard drive and an external DVD drive.
I inserted a USB key and put the cd in mint-10 DVD Player
I launched from the mint and requested the installation DVD on the usb key.
Result:
The boot on the usb stick has failed, it does not boot, the screen stays black.
But more seriously, the grub on my hard drive (not yet mounted) was broken up ...
Now when I try to boot from the hard drive, I only have the prompt "grub rescue>"
Does anyone know how to restore it boot my old mint-9, cat I saw that my files were still present?
And if it did not, someone can get how it links to firefox?
Thank you in advance to all.
Ps: This post was written from the live DVD of the mint-10 works very well.

Just in case someone has a solution. Unfortunately I don't boot from a USB drive so I can't help.
