Re: ATI CARD SUPPORT?
I have been running a ATI AGP Video card and had no problems with it under LM9 Gnome and KDE. Since I switched to LMDE, Compiz isn't really working, not sure if it is an ATI problem or Compiz. I guess I'll find out once LMDE Stable is finally released.
Re: ATI CARD SUPPORT?
This tells you all you need to know about installing the proprietary drivers for ATI card

I have a ATI Radeon 9700, do I have to install fglrx drivers manually? How do I "fix" my Compiz problem?kbkatz1 wrote:

Re: ATI CARD SUPPORT?
I'm on a Mobility 5870 and used the 10.9 Catalyst drivers from AMD's site. It was a basic GUI installer and it went through fine. I've probably should've made a package out of it though, as that might've been safer. Something I'll take note of once the next (hopefully 64 bit) version of LMDE is out.

Code: Select all
compiz--replace

Re: ATI CARD SUPPORT?
afaik Radeon 9700 is not supported by latest fglrx drivers. You could try using an older one or stick to the opensource driver radeon mentioned here http://wiki.debian.org/AtiHowTo

I feel I should apologize to Specmod, I feel I have taken over his thread.
