Hello Mint World!
Chalk up another user of Mint Debian!
Long story short - I somewhat accidentally updated my trusty little Asus N10 Netbook to Ubuntu 10,10 NBR.
Unity... it made a little part of me die inside.
It was horrible. 2 years of setup since Ubuntu 8.04 NBR down the drain.
While googling for "Ubuntu Unity 10.10 sucks howto downgrade 10.04" I found a site that said 'I'm going to try Mint..."
I saw Mint Debian, and thought "Great! Debian worked a treat on my EEEPC!"
So here I am, running Mint Debian in a fresh install, and I must say this was the easiest Linux install I've ever done. It even recoginsed all the N10 function keys, trackpad, sound, even the wifi! All I had to do was enter my wifi key and I off I went!
BIG PLUS - the desktop themes aren't based on 9 different versions of lion/zebra/giraffe poo. The Minty green is much easier on the eyes.
Well done. Mint is making me love Linux again, after Ubuntu was making think of just putting XP back on.
