Wine, beryl and frostwire

I think vmware, beryl, wine and frostwire should be added to the resporitories

VMware is a commercial product and can be downloaded from http://www.vmware.com ... as for the rest: they are in the repositories

vmware player IS in the repos too!
frostwires not in the repos....
wines in the repos but its an old version
luckily wine has its own repo just add

As for VMware ... I really mean VMware Server or VMware Workstation. Not that stupid player. There is a galaxy of differences between these products

And VMware Server and VMware Workstation are commercial products and definitely not in the repos

The basic version of VMware Server is "free" as in "free beer" though, the rest costs money.

OK, since we were talking about Amarok and cool ways to listen to music, check that out: http://www.finetune.com/wii/player.html

It's made for the nintendo Wii, but since it's in Flash you can use it in Linux Mint

Definitely one of the cool way to listen to online music.

I love the interface though. It's like a jukebox... from within the wii in your sitting room on the plasma screen, streaming wirelessly, remote control in your hand..

I personally use http://www.pandora.com .. This one is implemented in Flash too I think. In theory it's only open to citizens of the USA, and so they ask for your US postal code ... Oh well ... armed with Google and with a little creativity

The cool thing about pandora is that you can tell it what music you like and it will search for similar pieces and artists. It's pretty good at that. You can create channels, e.g. one for Pop, one for Rock, one for Electronica, and depending on your mood you switch to that channel and you can leave it playing all day and night long.

Can you try that on your Wii? I wonder if this works there ... Would be very cool if it did

Well the TV's taken right now..

Anyway, the interface is nice but it's not optimized for the wii. If the flash component could take all the screen and the buttons be made bigger...
