I have about the same amount of knowledge of Linux as I do Mentha Spicata. I've used Macs since... I was able to afford a used one back in the pleistocene.
Have used microslough Windows here and there along the way and I've always hated both right up to 7. Linux on the other hand has always been a bit of a curiosity. Used it briefly on a much older Mac but it was rough, buggy, and incomprehensible back then. Got a friend who uses Linux/Unix more than anything else, and generally keeps up on what's new and interesting. He picked Mint. I used it a bit on his systems. Thought it was decent. Thought I'd kill two stones with one bird by learning about Linux and how to make a dual-boot Mac at the same time.
So far, neither's going great.
But I just got started.
