Celena is very Nice!

Post by GrayWizardLinux »

Just a word of praise and also seeking some help.

First - I am totally new to linux and Mint.

This is quite beautiful! Just received a Thinkpad R51 refurb unit this evening and loaded celena. wired works well, sound works great, buttons for volume seem to work Ok, wireless airport extreme is found BUT I CANNOT connect.

could someone please help.

Mouse works great and trackpad is nice too although I seem to maybe have a double click in there that makes one have to be very careful. scrolling works as opposed to the wild random trackpad that one normally encounters esp in Ubuntu.

I have a few other needs for help;however the major crux of this post is to say wow - nice work! Also have not tried beryl either.

anyway! Nice work Clem and the rest of you! This may be a sweet linux experience.

Best wishes,
GrayWizard

Paste the result of "sudo iwconfig", "sudo ifconfig" and "sudo dhclient".

GrayWizardLinux he means to do it in a terminal window. When you type those commands and hit enter, they will spit out results that you can select, copy and paste. Good luck.
