64-bit?

Post by telenux »

I just noticed there's no 64-bit version, only 32.

Why?

I'm staying with Debian until there's more choices.

Excellent! So, what's the verdict for using the various DEs? Are the respective Gnome, KDE and xfce fans satisfied with their favourite DE flavor?

Hi!
I can't answer your question.
My experience: I had installed LMDE, but had problems (maybe the hardware support is not as good as in other Mints).
After some days of testing I deleted LMDE.

Well given that they are fans one could safely assume that they are satisfied

Out of the box that is entirely possible, because Ubuntu adds quite a number of additional components to the kernel that may not be in the Debian kernel. However, no hardware that works on one distro can't be made to work on another. It's all about the kernel after all.

If you decide to try it again when this month's new iso's come out, you might try using the Liquorix Kernel.

Hi!
Okay, I will try it again - with live-USB first.
