LMDE USB Stick EeePC

Post by plowran »

Hi Everyone;
First Off I have had nothing but issues with Mint and even Ubuntu itself since the release of 7... I keep getting the ERRNO5 error....
But since LMDE came out I am back in actiton.
Heres the situation, my kid sister called me with an issue of my brother using her laptop and now it does nothing. after the BIOS boots the screen goes blank with a Cursor just blinking...
I cannot even load the backup restore image. I have had nothing but issues trying to get WinXP Win7 and even Linux of any DISTRO to load
for some reason I cannot even get a live edition to load off of the USB stick of which I have tried 3 different sicks....
Has anyone had this issue or could someone point me into the direction of a possible means to fix this?
I know this is a stupid N00B question but unfortunately this is my first NetBook I have had to work on..
Thanks
Phil

Long time ago I use wintoflash to prepare USB bootable XP stick from a win XP CD.
You can check this procedure in detailed steps
