We are aware of the download problem - it is however also a money question.....
We have a new mirror for the Celena beta with really high download speeds and it is also seeded from there
I stopped seeding as it was down to almost zero but I've started again (I can get about 85 kB/s)

It seems that the torrent is only present at our own download page

linux mint needs to be able to be downloaded much easier or few will use it.
This is a great time to remind users to purchase a CD here: http://on-disk.com/product_info.php/products_id/354

Some of the proceeds goes back to Linux Mint which could in return achieve the above topic sooner.

You are correct katasuka, it needs to be improved.

s there a reason it's not listed at http://linuxmint.com/download.html
You find it on linuxmint.de
I agree that it would be better to list it directly on that page and will make a suggestion to that effect and maybe Clem and d00p changes it

I was gunna start a topic the other week to address this very problem. The way the download page is set makes the torrent very hard to find. I only found it because I gave up and went to download from the site instead, and clicking for that then brought up the torrent link.

If theres one problem with Linux Mint these days its that the look and feel of the site is starting to fall behind the distro itself.

i somewhat agree. yes there are areas needing improvement in the distro but yea there also needs to be improvement on the site.

why doesnt some talented web designer devote some time and offer their services to linux mint? I would offer my web design services but i couldnt provide what linux mint needs.
The new design is in process and it looks great.
Carlos and Clem are doing a great job with the new design.
There has been some setbacks and a lot of browser testing currently.
I don't think there is a set time frame on when it will be done.

Yes, it's going to be EXACTLY like that :) In fact, the start page was copied from that new website... courtesy of Carlos' talent by the way :)
