gnome-panel issue
I've tried the search function (because I thought more people have this problem...) but no luck.
Problem is showed below: My gnome-panel is on a very odd place. I've tried to place it "onder" (under) but it keep going back at the place shown in the example. How do I solve this permanently?
thnx

Re: gnome-panel issue
Hi!
Don't knowing if this will help. When I had problems with the panel, I run in a Terminal:
But I can't give you guarantee.
In any case I would first add a Terminal ICON to the desktop - to have access to it.

Hi!
Did you try right click on panel > properties?

Re: gnome-panel issue
After the kill-all command the bar has moved down a centimeter... I've tried it a couple of times after that but no is stays at the same height.
Re: gnome-panel issue
Have you tried clicking either of the arrow buttons on the end of each side on the panel, and dragging the panel back to the top?
Re: gnome-panel issue
Doesn't work. Unable to move the panel.proxima_centauri wrote:Have you tried clicking either of the arrow buttons on the end of each side on the panel, and dragging the panel back to the top?

Can I kick this? I'm still having this problem...
Re: gnome-panel issue
Rebuild gnome-panels might be of use to you. This should rebuild your gnome-panel you will probably have to set it up how you want it afterwards.
Code: Select all
gconftool-2 --shutdown
gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/panel
rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/panel
pkill gnome-panel
