Glad you like it mmesantos1 :D
I chose one of your light coloured wallpapers for a change as I usually use darker ones and I also decided to see what I could come up with using themes/icons etc. as they come rather than mashing themes up,tweaking window colours and customizing icons

Hi guys,
I really appreciate the work you put in to rise LMD to new heights.... Some thoughts from me though

in another thread someone emntioned LMD as beauty in simplicity, I'd like the wallpapers to be more subtle than eye-catching... ie no need for stark colors in my opinion.
I liked mmesantos1's last version, how about doing the bar in Mint green? And then Zwopper's oldie but goldie, is it possible to use it with a green gradient that looks like Debians original version?

Just a laymans thoughts... I admire your work, all of you!!

Cheers

All of you throw out some really great work. I'm honored to be a part of this Community, and of course I had to use the Sig Image that was so gratefully offered up. I did shrink it up a bit though.

Thanks Again,
Dave

thanks - love that one - and a little tip for 4:3 users. if you scale it and make the background change vertically from #F2F2F2 (which is lighter than the top of the picture) to #C7C7C7 (which is darker than the bottom) it fits in practically seamless and you don't miss half of the bar :).

Nice work Jazz, Like the Fanze with it, I was going to ask if you could try Faenza Mint icons from Gnome-Look and post with that since it has the green folder icons, I would do it but I am at work. :(
Also I will be making a 4:3 aspect ratio wall once the wall is decided on for those who have that type of monitor. So I did not forget about you guys. :D

I like darker walls, like the one mmesantos1 posted a few days ago; they give better contrast to lighter themes i usually use (mainly orta) and make it easier to me to match my conkys. But it's me 8)
edit: i just darkened mmesantos1 great work using gThumb  I hope you don't mind

@ Gotjazz, yes actually when I get home I will post a screenshot of the font I will propose but also like Droid Sans.

@zerozero, no prob on darkening the wall, when I get home I will re-make a darker wall but not darken the green and will post it for you. we can hash it all out for the final.

Great working with you guys so far, I can't wait to come to a final decision here and put together a final them soon.

So Far my thought are as follows.
Icon Theme: Faenza, maybe the Mint version.
GTK Theme: Orta, which I can run the customizer and we can tweak it to suite our needs. If you have any other thoughts on GTK's let me know.
Mouse X11 theme: Eclipse unless any one has other thoughts on that.
Font: Droid Sans/ or the one I will post once I am home. Can't think of the name at the moment so sorry about that.
Of course the GDM theme will match.

Let me know if I missed anything, oh yes plymouth splash, not my area of expertise so again let me know what needs to be made art wise and I will work on that, just not sure how to put it together so someone will have to help with that. :)

About fonts, well, i'm an addict to them  ; surely have dozens installed, but for years i used system-wide in all my installs "vibrocentric" and i don't know if its easy to add to the repo or not:
http://www.dafont.com/vibrocentric.font
Two weeks ago more or less i changed to a completely copyrighted, so this one forget it but it's amazing

mmesantos1: only when you said, i noticed that the green was dark aswell, yeahh, was not my intention, just lack of skills

hrm that's a pretty martial font - not my taste but not unpretty.

ad gtk-theme: well orta is far from my favorite but if you customize it anyway - who knows. Ifing the default window-color somehwhat boring and i think it could also use more gradients for a little plasticity

looks like a winner to me - don't have much time to test right now but that screenshot does look mighty fine.

just the panel/dock-layout might cause some grief with apple-haters - but I guess we can live with that
(though personally i never use docks that way but hey - lmde isn't just for me :))

Thank you gotjazz. :D Panel/ Dock layout is just how I have mine, that can be changed for another default. I am sure they will not use a Dock by default but since I was running one I thought I should give the info just incase. Anyway once you and anyone else has had a chance to try it out let me know what you think and give any feedback, good or bad is welcome. Thanks. :D

Here is a screenshot of what a default install could look like. Gotjazz got me thinking about showing this view versus the ones with the dock and panel at top. :)
