Awesome work mmesantos1, just the way I meant in my previous post. Simple, elegant, {insert adjective of choice here].... I really hope Ikey takes a thorough look at your work.

And me too liked the Plymouth boot splash, s/he (don't remember contributor) is on the right track too

I Hope you'll like it :)

I watched this Vid, nice job on the splash. :D

Great you liked it, I like it really too. The Only thing is, it looks a bit too Win7, and maybe we should add a background to this Bootscreen.
A Little Idea would be a to do a Simple Line with one of the background posted before. But are there any other Ideas? I Could upload the Theme, if some would like to have it

@mmesantos1 Also A Great Version, I especially Like the Icons. Keep up the Great Work :P

OK - I worked on this more - I reworked the Tux model, and integrated the Mint logo - if LMDE gets its' own logo it's a simple matter for me to change it.

Some *awesome* artwork here, congratulations and thank you to all contributors.
Atm I'm bending Clem's ear about this, and testing each and every theme permutation
presented. I'll get back to ye soon :)

Thanks for the update ikey, will wait patiently to hear the end result. :)

Thanks Ikey,

@Roken: Fantastic work, whether they make the cut or not, I've held on to all of your work. I like the 3D effects, I guess that makes me a sucker.

@mmesantos1: I've got yours as well. You guys have some really sweet artwork.

Thanks A Million,
Dave

Greetings:
LMDE think should have their own identity, right? I've been working on something that perhaps might like.

The background image and theme icons (still unfinished) I made myself. They have a green hue on the color of the Linux Mint distribution.

I suggest using a dark theme (Shiki Colors in this case). Could be used as a basic Shiki Colors, or simply create a new one. I suggest a dark theme for the panel. In the picture, I'm using Xfce 4.8, but no matter, since you can achieve the same look with Gnome. Similarly, if you prefer, the panel can go in the bottom of the screen. I have it up because I have a dock down:)

I can only apologize for my English.

I really like your vision elav! Perhaps because ive always liked olive green and dark grays combinations. It somehow resembles army related stuff also, and gives the os very robust and down to earth kind of look, unlike brighter combinations.

Yeah and that logo is really sleek also, good work!

elav, I absolutely love your theme. The logo, the green and dark grey are perfect for LMDE!

I hope to see this come through as the default theme in an update soon :D
