Need Immediate Help
Last night I could not delete some recovered files so I login via the root account. Afterwards however each time I try to login with the user account I created I am immediately returned to the login screen. I try this several times but no success. I am currently running a root account and that is dangerous . Please someone help urgently. I cannot Access my data and 80 GB data is at stake

As root you may be able to "chmod 777" the necessary data and make it available to all user accounts. Is the mint-fluxbox-default-settings package still installed? If so, then you shouldn't have any issues creating new user accounts. Exactly what happened to put you in this predicament if you don't mind me asking?
