Hi im a newb I've been running on ubuntu for a few years trying to learn what I can. I wanted to try something a little different and from What I can see so far im liking the overall look of mint over ubuntu.

Welcome to Mint, eb0b. I think you will find these forums have more of a community or family feeling than Ubuntu. There are also the Mint Community Website and the IRC chat rooms as additional resources. Of course, since Mint is based on Ubuntu (except for the LMDE edition) the Ubuntu forums can also be helpful.
