I've been using Linux off and on since installing Debian was a rather grueling, text-only process. I wanted a distribution that was compatible with my new Toshiba Portege laptop. I tried quite a few, and liked some. But Mint was the ONLY one that simply worked flawlessly from the beginning, including getting my wireless up and running with no more configuration than entering my passphrase and SSID. So congratulations to the Mint team and community from a new, grateful user. I'll definitely be spreading the word!

Just go to Menu>Internet>XChat IRC and when you open it you will automatically be taken to our #linuxmint-chat and #linuxmint-help channels. Have fun with Mint.
