No one that has any clue what can be wrong? Tryed to delete the files in /var/lib/apt/lists/partial/ but it did not help. I have no idea what to do now.

Thanks in advance..

I had the same error yesterday when I tried to update (using the Canadian Debian mirror). Tried again a few hours later and everything worked fine. If you haven't already, you should try updating again.

I do not know for certain, but I assume that this error occurs when you trying to update from the mirror while it is pulling new package updates from Debian. Hence everything working fine again if you give it some time.

Thank you gavinhc. Changed the mirror and now it works. It has been like this for 2 days but maybe it takes some time to update the mirrors..

I have the same problem today. My sources.list file is:

deb http://packages.linuxmint.com/ debian upstream import main
deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian testing main contrib non-free
deb http://security.debian.org/ testing/updates main contrib non-free
deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org testing main non-free

is this correct?
