Well team, welcome to the sub 5000 club, well done and keep it up. I myself am taking a week off from folding and going on my jollies down to Devon. This will give you all a chance to close up on my score, not that it's a race. :D. Will be back folding on the 29th.

Hi 900i (and the other minter folding crew)
I have just got a 2.8 P4 folding at the moment, but once my Q6600 finshes its current smp WU, i will be adding it to the team  should add a few points to the cause.. Also got a E4300 dual core folding box, again, once that finishes its current WU, it will be added to the team.
The E4300 will fold 24/7 smp client (as it keeps my spare room warm in the winter 8) ) the quad core is only running 12/14hrs a day.
Hope to be able to push the team up the ranks a bit

The Q6600 has just finished one smp WU, and the '4300 has started its 24/7 smp run, in a weeks time i have to move house :? so will have no 'net access for a while, hence will have to stop folding, but i will be back :P
hope to see more faces in the team - when i started folding 2 or 3 years ago, you could do timeless WU's and i had rigs from P1 200mmx's upwards folding, alas, the timeless WU's (work unit) are no more
one of my rigs crashed partway through a WU and i only got awarded 3 points for that  (it is running windows after all....)

Thanks 900i, i hope the move goes ok too :) seems i could be offline for a couple of weeks  tho one of my rigs will have dial up so may still be able to sneak a WU in!!!

Well, the move went without any major disaster's, even got my AOL broadband here 2 days after moving in
Only slight drawback being i havr had to downsize my folding rigs a bit :|
Got the Q6600 & my D945 at the moment.

I struggled to get it to run but had nothing but failure. People's help was at to high of a level for a dumb ass like me with no command line skill. The one time I seemed to get it going - it seemed to run all the time and never listend to the settings that I set. so i dumped it. The hassles of linux!

This is how I fold:-

Work rig is a core 2 duo, I am a Mechanical Design Engineer and run 3d Cad. F@H is running nearly all the time on both cores through the week regardless of what apps I am using. The only time I shut one core down is when I need to detail a drawing, then it gets a bit laggy if I don't. But I would say that 80% of the time I am folding on both cores with no ill effects. I run XP at work all week and use the windows command line client which I start manually on a Monday morning and shut down on a Friday afternoon for the W/E. I don't fold at home as I only have a laptop - they get bloody hot folding in my experience! :)
Why shut it down for the weekend? Is it such a small shop that they'll notice one computer running on weekends? Why not just lock the desktop and let 'er fold?

Yeah, I've also cranked up one core and started again. Onward and upward.

Hi all,

I have just managed to get Linux Mint Elyssa 64 bit installed (11-01-2009) and it is up and running. First impressions are very good.

I have been folding 24/7 for over a year now, and being as I have just installed mint, I have started folding for you.

Now working on my third unit and should (hopefully) be able to add some 25,000 points per week to the team.

Best regards Keith
