Macbook pro 2011 and LMDE

Post by aeternal »

In few months I am going to buy a notebook for the university. Due to the special discounts we get, I am probably going to buy a MacBook Pro (the last ones, 2011, with sandy bridge and probably a SSD).
However I would like install Linux Mint on it too. More precisely LMDE.

I saw there is a similar topic on the forum but it got no answers, therefore I would like to ask if it is actually possible to install a "working" LMDE on that notebook or not. (dualboot)

In fact I found only topics about "old" macbook versions, and I don't know if it is possible in the early versions too.

thanks people

Check the Mint Community hardware search page, you may find info about the model you are looking at there. I saw a couple of people using LMDE on Apple devices.
