[SOLVED] Where did "software sources" go?

Post by wangsuda »

I just noticed that "software sources" is missing from my menu (both in "settings" and in "systems"). I am assuming a recent update did that, as I used to have it. Can anyone tell me how to get software sources back as a menu item?

This will bring up the Software Sources GUI:

Code: Select all

gksudo software-properties-gtk
But really, what's the point when you can just open up /etc/apt/sources.list in a text editor? :P

Thank you! That command brought up exactly what I wanted.

Because it is what I am used to. Again, thanks!

If you right click on the menu there's an option to edit the menu and turn things on or off.
