dpkg

Post by alan2273 »

I have just been doing the automatic updates and one of them failed, this is the message I got.
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.

How do I go about correcting the problem, as I have not come across this before.

Thanks for that, i only put one dash in front of configure :x
I ran the command and it reinstalled Java.
I went back to the download and now it gives me this.
W: Failed to fetch http://packages.freecontrib.org/plf/poo ... 0_i386.deb
404 Not Found

If I copy & paste the URL it also comes up as page not found.

I also get this message when I run check and it shows four failed reposetries.
http://packages.freecontrib.org/plf/dis ... ackages.gz: 404 Not Found

http://packages.freecontrib.org/plf/dis ... Sources.gz: 404 Not Found
http://packages.freecontrib.org/plf/dis ... Sources.gz: 404 Not Found

The other five updates installed with no problems.

its because the plf no longer exists, just edit your sources in synaptic and remove the plf
