Firefox 4 UI suggestions

Postby newbiegr on Wed May 04, 2011 6:24 pm

As long as Firefox 4 does not provide an option for Linux users to put tabs on title bar, as in windows version, we need an alternative option for this. Can Linux Mint provide an extra option to put tabs on title bar as Chromium browser does for example? At the moment this can be achieved with the help of an add-on and some changes in the compiz windows decorations option, but it is not effective because it is not working well.

Then, the second change is about firefox's Eye icon in the default mint-X-metal theme. It would be nice if you put the official icon with the fox around the globe instead of the eye icon. The eye icon is not so good as the firefox's standard icon with fox around the globe.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Your first suggestion is beyond the scope of the Mint devs. That's Mozilla's thing. As for your second suggestion. You can change the Firefox icon yourself to whatever you want if you don't like it.

so we have to wait for mozilla to implement tabs on title bar for linux

For the icon, I think that the default icon should be firefox's icon with fox around the globe, because this is the default from the company that develops mozilla firefox, whoever wants another icon then he has the option to change it
