I've installed Mint Debian on my HP dv7t, which has Intel Graphics and ATI Radeon graphics together.
The computer runs VERY hot, and battery life is horrible. I presume that it is because both graphics cards are on at the same time.
Is there a way to shut off either of the cards (preferably the discrete card)?
I know there is an acpi_call module available, but I do not know what to do with it as LM kernels do not have vga_switcheroo built in.
Let me know if more info is needed
Thanks in advance,
Willie
