Suddenly broken Conky

Hey guys,

When running conky I get the output:

And obviously no conky. I have no idea why this is happening but its after an upgrade, so something is broken somewhere. I don't have clue what that /usr/share/themes line is about, nor the 'Floating Point Exception'.

2. Could you post your entire " .conkyrc " script?

What exactly was this "upgrade"? System? Conky?

Sorry, you guys are right, should have been more forthcoming.

The system was an install of LMDE that hadn't been updated for a while. I ran an 'apt-get dist-upgrade' which, amongst other things, updated the kernel from .32 to .38.

This is just a standard LMDE install: gnome, compiz and nvidia graphics drivers are probably the relevant bits that might affect conky. Literally working fine then 'dist-upgrade', reboot, broken conky.

On closer inspection (after random fiddling) it seems that changing conky to run in the background (background yes) results in no 'floating point exception' error message but still no conky either.

Sadly not, in fact when I add both

I get the error message below. Line 23 is the 'own_window_type conky' line. Commenting this out results in the same output as with it, just without the error message. What can be done to stop this floating point exception? Would something like reinstalling conky have any effect or is the answer definitely in .conkyrc somewhere?
