Faster boot time?

Post by oblivion02 »

My system takes a while to load the Mint desktop. Not a whooole while, but just a few seconds. Any suggestions as to how I can improve my bootup? Once its booted, it works very smoothly. Im running the latest version: Daryna.

Try going into Sessions and Services, deleting a bunch of stuff you don't need/use anyway.

Hey... I just finished browsing some of the links, and they dont seem to fit my case. My problem is not really "booting" up, its the session. I think maybe its a problem with nautilus, or maybe Gnome? Because booting up is a breeze, goes very smoothly. Its after I log in. It loads the desktop icons before the taskbar. Think maybe its the window manager or something?
