I've searched around quite a bit (even at the Canon Europe site) on the web, but I haven't been able to come up with any Linux printer drivers for your printer, other than the ones at
TurboPrint. I believe they let you download a trial version (to test the device) that can then later be made permanent by purchasing a key. For some users printers this may be the only way.
Personally I feel that printers are cheap enough nowadays, that replacing them is a viable alternative. Its the ink that is the killer, but there are less expensive ways around that as well in most cases. However, this is up to you.
Maybe someone else can find a better solution I hope.
